Yesterday was a good day (Sundays are fast becoming a favourite punting day at Chez Sandi). The two unplaced disappointments amongst my selections were Double Chocolate (15:25) and Sambelucky (16:00) at Market Rasen. Both jockeys reported to the stewards that their horses "were never travelling" . This is a perfectly legitimate reason/excuse that is frequently given to the stewards but how wonderfully vague and at the same time wonderfully obvious! Now if only Frankie could come last in the X-Factor because "he was never singing".
The no re-mounting rule that was brought in to force last year hasn't yet yielded a race with no finishers (at least I don't think - let me know if it has!) but the law of averages states that it will do one day.
Likewise, the new whip rules haven't yet produced a day where a large number of top jockeys have been banned at the same time but again, give it time...........

Having a day off on Monday but I'll have some selections up for Tuesday
