Leicester 15:00 Class 5 7f, SIS Live Handicap 3yo+
My pick for this is Cootehill Lass. She does love it here - winning each of her only three visits and she has the same nice high draw that she won from each time (numbering reversed for the 31 March race!). She is reunited with Silvestre De Sousa who has ridden her for two of her three wins and the ground will be perfect. She is higher in the weights but she has won off this mark so it's not insurmountable. The stable form is more of a concern! However, David Evans has been knocking on the door lately with plenty of 2nds and 3rds so a win is about due but at 13/2, this is still an each wayable price in case it doesn't come today.
Cootehill Lass 13/2 each way

Very close 2nd

You really need to be looking at those drawn high in a 7f races around Lingfield turf. My shortlist of 2 is Oil Strike 2nd and Yair Hill. Of this pair, Oil Strike is a bit of an enigma seemingly having raced at all distances under a mile and failing to show preference for any one. He is on a bargain basement mark and I think the reversion to 7f will be the right move but does some with risks. Yair Hill has the plum draw and is reunited with Ted Durcan who is the only jock to have won on him. He is also down to a winnable mark. His run LTO was his first after a 6 wk break during which he's been gelded so there is obvious room to improve on that and he pips it for me.
Yair Hill 7/2 win

Oh Ma Lad 17/2 each way
Not so close but still 2nd
No system selections today (none tick the boxes!) but I'll have a study in the morning and see if I can't find a winner. I have a feeling that I should be able to find a winner in the 15:00 Leicester and/or the 16:00. By the way, have a look at the name of the 15:30 Leicester race. Some PR company and/or jockeys agent ?? is extremely gifted at marketing.
It's looking less likely that I'll be able to use my Doncaster tickets on Wednesday which is particularly annoying since I was really looking forward to watching the Legends race. Among the legends riding is Jamie Osborne who is riding for the Norther Racing College and who you can sponsor here. Also Tom O'Ryan who is usually seen in the guise of RP Live Reporter, Julie Krone, Charlie Swan, Luke 'Meerkat' Harvey and loads of others.

My dog Vinnie the fierce Jack Russell (yeh, right!) has suspected prostratitis. This is pretty rare for a neutered dog - but he is obviously so jam packed full of male hormones that not even having his tackle removed as a pup can prevent him from being alpha male! On a serious note, he is having to spend the night at the v.e.t.s. Having had an examination (I'm sure you know how a prostrate exam is carried out!), he was not a all happy about me leaving him with the perpetrator. I hope he's still speaking to me in the morning. Prognosis is good - antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication should do the trick.
