Freezing February's First Selections & Updates - 01 February

Sanctuaire was possibly the most entertaining horse to watch yesterday - he's a complete looney!!  It was definitely heart in your mouth stuff if you had money on him (Lord knows where your heart would be if you were riding him - about half a furlong behind I think)  What a tearaway!  Quote (or rather understatement) of the day has to be from Ruby "He went a good gallop".  Sanctuaire has been cut from 33/1to 16/1 for the Arkle but P Nicholls has said hold your horses (and bets) as it not cast in stone that he'll run and might go straight to Sandown then Aintree (if you thought todays run was a roller coaster, imagine the Aintree fences...eeek!)

That's Some Milan on the other hand was a big disappointment and Dildar did just enough to win - his jumping was iffy but then so have plenty of other decent hurdlers' been on their first outing over the small sticks.  It was a pretty good Tuesday's racing all told.

No Ludlow or Leicester today but the hardy Northern Newcastle Geordies are full steam ahead:
