I was possibly the only one yesterday shouting for O'faoilains Boy in the RSA yesterday after the word on course was for Smad's Place. Barry Geraghty at his finest and strongest.
Poor Bryan Cooper does not have a lot of luck with bones. He has his leg broken in two places yesterday and the fact that Davy Russell has not been booked for the spare Gigginstown rides would suggest that the two parties did not part company on the best of terms!
The ground is being watered today and Annie Power is my big hope of the Festival. Yet again the phrase "if she stays she wins" will be overused all day but you also have to consider that she has never run on any ground without soft in the going description - however the watering should make sure that this isn't a problem. Her breeding also suggests that properly good ground won't be ideal but in the absence of any soft, I am convinced that class will out.
This was the view from my hotel window at 09:30...foggy!
The two last race today are full on cavalry charges soI've concentrated on looking for an improving sort in each....to be exact, three improving sorts in each (see below)!
