Monday's Scary Selections & Scary Results - 31 October

My Melbourne Cup blog is up in all it's glory - just click here

Now working on my Melbourne Cup selection (s) and blog....if ever there was a need for coffee (and clicks on ads to add to the coffee fund!)  it is tonight.......

If only every day was as good as yesterday!  There are certain NH races that I do better with than others and certain tracks that I do better with than others and the two combined nicelyyesterday.  I may be the only racing aficionado in the country who looks forward to class 4 novice hurdles at Huntingdon!

Autumn Spirit was a heartbreaking last fence fail today - especially as I'd picked him with Kadouchski over Loch Ba for their chasing experience.
Back down to reality today with four winners, four 2nds and a 3rd......and a loss of -3.3

***   I'll put up a Melbourne Cup blog this evening with my selections   ***

A small crisis was averted when I located my 2010 Breeders Cup races spreadsheet/data filed where it shouldn't have been!  Phew.....I do back it up to the storage in the cloud but it would have been a pain....but not quite as difficult as explaining to my techno-phobe husband what 'online storage', cloud and 'failed upload' all mean.

On the subject of terminology, does any other household in the country call cheek-pieces 'paint rollers' and hoods 'gimp masks'...?   We have a lot of fun whenever Bondage runs with with his headgear on...

Ongoing non runners list – these are previous blog selections that were scratched on the day and worth looking out for NTO:

Grumeti
Best One
Captain Dash (running today at Kempton 15:45) but not a selection today (see above!)
Murfreesboro

We've gone all cultured in the 14:40 (bit like yogurt?)

I don't think it's safe to assume that Paul Hanagan has this in the bag just yet!  Although Silvestre is off to the Melbourne Cup he's back racing in the UK on Wednesday with 11 rides, 12 on Thursday and  13 on Friday so there's still some life left in this title chase.
