Monday's Selections & Updates - 21 November

On Friday I got a leaflet from the Racing Post in the mail suggesting that that I cannot live without my RP 2012 calendar - and they are absolutely right!  I wafted this under a selection of family members' noses and the only response I got was "£8.99 for a calendar?".  Hmph.....it's free P&P though!!   I will have to step up my subtle hintery - perhaps scan & print copies to nonchalantly leave where they'll be seen.... like the biscuit barrel or the bread bin......

Information/Observation only!
Since it's Monday I'm keeping to nominal stakes.  There were a few odds on favourites turned over on the past 2 Mondays by big prices!   Runners today that I have down as (1) too big a price but (2) oughtn't to win on form (i.e. in not in my top 3 picks) are:

   12:30  Thecircleoftrust    3rd (in a 7 runner race!)
12:50  The Bear Trap Last of those that finished!
   13:55  Sir Bere  3rd (in a 5 runner race!)
   15:40  Mwaleshi 5th

This is a 'Monday only let's see what happens to them' type of observational experiment!!

Kirsty 'Milkshake' Milczarek isn't riding quite so many recently but when she does she has a 26+%  strike rate.  Keep an eye out in particular for when she rides for John Ryan and Conor Dore.

Here is a little bit more celebration of Kauto:

I think the quote of the week has already been uttered last Thursday.  Sir Mark Prescott on the whip rules:
"I had a winner of a Listed race in Ireland the other day and my English jockey Seb Sanders went over to Dundalk and approached the finish of the race the same way as an alcoholic approached the start of Prohibition and it wasn't a pretty sight" ....Ooo errr
