Do you have a horse or jockey that if you back, never ever wins except when your money isn't invested? Mine is Richard Johnson....I cannot remember a time when I've backed any of his rides and won. I should rename him Richard Jonah-son or Captain Jinx of Jinxshire.....at the time of writing (Tues night) he's booked for two rides on Wednesday - 10 minutes apart with one at Catterick (14:50 Whatshallwedo) and the other at Leicester (15:00 Quentin Collanges). Whichever one he takes/runs will be worth a second look at and I promise not to back it (there, it stands a chance now!)
UPDATE: He rides Quentin Collanges and not the Vaughan horse which could be a big clue
Yesterday I only had the two winners. It was a strange days racing with quite a few odds on favourites being well beaten and also a very sad day for connections of Golden Silver who was fatally injured when falling horrifically at Leopardstown.
Lucy Alexander is getting quite a few outside bookings lately and doing pretty darn well. A Northern lass to keep an eye on with an extremely valuable 7lb claim.
I'll be putting some study in for Friday's Haydock card since I shall be there! In the first race there's a runner called Sandynow which is going to be very hard to stop my subconscious from veering towards......

Richie McLernon did well to stay aboard Surf And Turf in the first. He undoubtedly would have won for for that last 'mishap' and could even have got his nose in front with it if he'd had a few more yard - at least Richie McStayon has kept me in the placepot after the first leg!

2/ The fav Belle De Fontenay looks as if she'll need further than the 2m she’s been contesting in the past but this is a testing track to step up another 4f for the first time.
3/ Big enough prices to go each way on
any runner
4/ Neither long Absence nor distance should be a problem
5/ I’m always a little cautious of
runners who fell LTO (Bin End) and Grams And Ounces needs further than 2 miles
(IMO).
