Paul Scholes out of retirement for Manchester United on Sunday, Thierry Henry rejoining his former club Arsenal (and scoring) - What next? Arkle listed in the Gold Cup decs !?
Taunton certainly threw up some 'strange' results yesterday with some big priced (and one HUGE priced) winners.
I wasn't able to see any of the racing live after the first but caught up with the replays in the evening and watched Night Rose's frightening fall in the second race (won by 200/1 Nights Of Broadway). She was surely going to win before diving over the 2nd last and I will be backing her again but only once she has had her confidence booster(s)! While on the subject of falling, I like the way that the commentators lately always without fail make a point of letting us viewers know when the horse and jockey are up and ok......obviously one of the recent BHA/RfC recommendations and one which should have been thought of and implemented long ago.
Will Kennedy gave Made In Time a wonderfully cool-headed
ride and Sam WC must be wondering why he keeps getting out ridden by all these damn professional jockeys lately (how very dare they!). I'll not give up on Rangitoto who fell in the same race just yet though but I can't imagine that we'll be seeing him on any track with the word sharp in the description again!
At the bottom of this blog on Tuesday morning I shall add my weight loss for the past week - my starting weight being 'X' lbs and this being my first 'weigh in' at the Tuesday morning Chez Sandi fat-fighters club (me being the only member means I get to be slimmer of the week!). Suffice to say that it'll be quite some time before I'll be able to take advantage of my full claim!

Notes:
2/ Hada Men is no sort of price at ¼. It should win easily but still things can go
wrong and it’s only a week since it’s last run and he has a penalty so there is
value to be had with Delorain at 7/1 each way
3/ Laffan may have been flattered
by the plum draw LTO so going for the each way.
