Tuesday's Nap (won) Selections & Updates - 06 March

I'm am doing my "Smuggy McSmug from Smugshire" impression now that Peddler's Cross runs in the Jewson and not the Arkle (I refer the honourable readers to my blog dated 25 February!) 

There are very many dissatisfied punters on Monday night though(some on Twitter were near enough apoplectic and saying some pretty awful things about McCain) - having lost their ££s on their antepost bets on Peddler's Cross for the Arkle but then I'm afraid that the very nature of an antepost bet.  You get the better price because not only are you betting on the result of the race but also on whether the selection makes it to that race injury-free, in form and finally to the right race!  


I have a huge soft spot for Peddler's Cross (as any blog reader might have spotted!).  He's a gutsy, lovely, good looking genuine horse and I for one (regardless of my cash involvement) am glad that McCain is man enough to do what is right for the horse without worrying about the backlash from disgruntled punters.  Of course, the owner does have a say too!  Long term I think he will be proven to have made the right decision - when he's won the Gold Cup and still loving jumping.

Not a one unplaced today (shame they were all win bets!).  -2.75 (in reality I'm in profit as I always put a larger bet on my nap and each way if the prices allow) and an each way accumulator wouldn't have been sniffed at either!
