Wednesday's Selections & Updates (Nice Pro£its) - 07 March

Long Run is prepared for
any further
overnight drifting
The best quote of the week so far has to be Nicky Henderson.  When asked why the drift on Betfair Monday night for Long Run in the Gold Cup , he said "Unless someone's been in there in the middle of the night and hit him with a hammer then I don't know why".

Wednesday's racing this side of the Irish Sea is from Fontwell, Catterick, Kempton and Lingfield.  It can't be a coincidence that meetings on the same day often are running a courses with similar characteristics....or is it?  Both Fontwell and Catterick are left handed tracks and can be classified as sharp. Thursday's racing is from Carlisle and Wincanton (right handed galloping), Friday's racing from Leicester, Sandown, Wincanton (all right handed galloping) .....and Ayr.  I shall stop now ... the bored-ometer just sounded!

Robbie Fitzpatrick has never won at Lingfield in 55 rides - he's on Dingaan  today in the 14:10

Fantastic day with profits of +17.91 (179%) and the nap running a blinder and winning by 6l

2/         I’m interested to see how Talbot Green goes today but I do think he’ll need this run.  He’s bred for all weather (not raced on it before) and has a great trainer and jocky combo here today – both have good records at Lingfield, a nice low weight and a decent draw (7 of the last 10 winners at 13f have been drawn high!) I don’t like El Libertador’s draw…..!
