Thursday's Selections & Results - 29 September

Today's Selections (late but hopefully worth the wait!) are:

Warwick
14:10  Steel City Boy (10) UP
17:10  Halifax (5.6) 2nd (photo for 1st and just lost out!)

Wolverhampton
15:30  Flying Phoenix (8.6) UP
17:00  Lady Barastar (9.4) 1st

Kempton
20:40  Regeneration (8.2) UP
21:10  Ree’s Rascal (9.2) 2nd

Not too shoddy a day with a profit of +3.69 (it was so nearly a lot more - C'est La Vie)

I would have included Peter Tchaikovsky in my selections (14:30 Wolverhampton) but recent stable form is a big negative!  Glad I didn't...

Kempton today goes like this:  R1 2yo Claimer, R2 Claimer, R3 Maiden, R4 Maiden, R5 Maiden, R6 Class 6 handicap, R7 Class 4 Handicap, R8 Class 4 Handicap – saving the best for last then?

Beware!  Chilledtothebone running in the 18:10 is ridden by Fallon today.  The last 3 partnerings (is that a word?) resulted in 2nd place each time.  It doesn’t have the greatest draw either!  WD under vets advice at the stalls

The Duel of The Doyles
The Wolverhampton 16:00 will be the stage of some sibling rivalry with both James and Sophie Doyle riding – both on rides which have a live chance too! 6th and 7th respectively - half a length between them!

The Racing Post Spotlight summaries can be misleading, they can be enlightening and often they can be plain funny.  This is what they said about Michigan Assassin running in the 15:50 at Bangor today:
"questionable whether drop in trip is ideal but at least it means there are fewer fences for him to clout".
Love it!

Here are a couple of videos of the Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe with one common denominator:

Hurricane Fly 2005

Dylan Thomas 2007

I wonder if/what he'll be riding this Sunday........we now know that Frankie is booked for Snow Fairy
