Well my quandary over whether I should forget that it's the last Saturday before Christmas and avoid shopping, crowds, headaches and hassle and instead head off along the M60/M56/M6 combo to Haydock and watch Peddler's Cross was resolved when he was withdrawn due to the ground. Blah!
To console myself, I've just booked the hotel for the 12-18 March somewhere near Cheltenham ......let the countdown begin!
I have the feeling that if horses could talk then the 14:30 Ascot would go something along the lines of:
"Going right handed today are we?"
"You want me to go past these now, yes?"
"Job done so can I have noms and little sleepy rest now please?"
Silly I know but I'm really looking forward to watching this afternoon.
I had a great day yesterday with best ever profits for the blog and am hoping it can be repeated today........
Notes:
Alas, not repeating the same form as yesterday with -7.47

2/ Lancetto is the better horse but
the ground is against him IMO
3/ Was never travelling after clouting
the 4th fence from home on his last outing – that was his first
attempt at the trip and I don’t think it was the distance that beat him. Won FTO twice in past.
5/ The Minack has always had his wins
in doubles, one after the other….he won LTO but PU before that!
6/ I’ve chosen a couple of live each
way hopes for this as the market leaders are far too short a price for such a
race. Prospect Wells looks to have a
favourites chance though and Brampour price has gone.
