Well I expected Ayr to be abandoned but not for the reasons given (no working PA system and crowd safety concerns)...... I feel for the trainers who were well on their way in these winds and wonder if it wouldn't have been more prudent to abandon at 7am given the weather forecast?
Three winners yesterday and my nap won again in finer style than you'd expect from a 2/1 price!
So we move from a feast of racing over Christmas and New Year to a famine with just two (not great!) meetings for Tuesday: the second day of the Ayr New Year Festival and more of the fibresand at Southwell (fibresand not only being the domain of cloth camels).
I can foresee some very strange and unexpected results today so keeping to small stakes. Ayr is blowing a gale at present (although this is supposed to drop by lunchtime) but this could upset the form!
One winner today and that was my nap. Overall loss (and some funny results as predicted) of -1.8
Ayr Abandoned
Notes:
I shall now be boring you at the bottom of my Tuesday posts with my progress on "operation weight-loss" - this is not only a direct result of Christmas but also of becoming a non-smoker last June (I spent all the £££s I saved on ice cream!).
I shall start with my 'before' weight which will be known as:

I found a clever little free download available from the BHA where you can add all of the racing fixtures straight in to your Outlook calendar. It's available here from the BHA website.

2/ On The Cusp has a big penalty which I
am a little concerned about – if it proves too much then I believe
Minortransgression will be the one to take advantage.

I was stuck for inspiration to picture my nightly nap until I mentioned it's name to my (ex skateboarding mad, 'only broke his arm three times in one year' son) who kindly provided some input - apparently the name is very well known amongst skaters and to be honest, this vid is pretty impressive!1st

as there is absolutely no chance of my divulging my shameful secret weight!! I shall not be on a diet but merely "measuing food".
