Thursday's Selections & Results - 17 November

A good day for the blog selections yesterday - although I missed Nicole Nordblad's 20/1 winner (see I told you she was a bit handy at flying past the rest of the field in the last furlong!)

Is it just me or is it beginning (haha!) to look as if the authorities really do have it in for Kieren Fallon - six months is a long time to take action for an alleged porkie told to the stewards after missing a couple of races!

Welcome back to action today Jason Maguire!

It's been a rotten couple of days for losing top notch horses in awful accidents on the gallops - RIP Lovethehigherlaw and Razor Royale

Not such a good day with just winner - in fact probably the worst day for quite some while (which is a short sharp shock reminder to be selective with my races and not to go through the card unless it's a special meeting like Haydock tomorrow or Cheltenham) loss of 8.88

Notes:
1/            Bazart has a penalty and good do with better ground but there isn’t (despite a 16 runner field) a lot I can see that should be any better!  Cider Lolly is worth a chance and should handle the softer going from breeding.
2/            Captain Sharpe will have his work cut out off this mark but has the help of the same claiming jockey as Bazart in the previous race.  Gud Day ran a decent race to grab 3rd in a better race just 3 days after his first ever hurdles outing.
4/            Get It On may be better suited to a sharper track but taking a chance and Pyracantha may need more ‘reminders’ than is allowed these days.
5/            What An Oscar is not the most consistent horse but has the ability for this if playing nice today.  Briefcase is on a pretty high mark and Hard Tackle may need this run but the stable are starting to fire out winners so maybe not.
6/            Bay Central runs with a penalty but more of a concern to me is that the trip may be on the sharp side.

 Hereford 14:30?
